This General Policy outlines the terms and conditions for all customers purchasing from Six Year Plan Books India Private Limited (“Six Year Plan Books”, “we”, “our”, or “us”), including sales and purchases. By placing or accepting an order—whether as a customer, supplier, or wholesale partner—you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Scope of Policy

This policy applies to:

  • Online retail sales (B2C) via our website or third-party marketplaces including direct sales.
  • Wholesale sales (B2B) to stores, institutions, and distributors.
  • Purchase orders issued by Six Year Plan Books to suppliers and vendors.

2. Order Acceptance

All orders are subject to confirmation and availability. We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order for any reason, including errors in pricing or stock status.

3. Pricing

All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and are exclusive or inclusive of applicable taxes, as communicated at the time of order. We reserve the right to update pricing and product information without prior notice.

4. Payment Terms

  • Online (B2C): Full payment is required at the time of purchase through the accepted digital payment modes or cash.
  • Wholesale (B2B): Payments are due as per the agreed terms and must be made via bank transfer, cheque, or other accepted channels. A standard margin and settlement schedule may apply, as agreed upon in the supply agreement.

4a. Incoming Invoices

  • All incoming invoices from suppliers or vendors must be sent via email to [email protected] Unless otherwise agreed in writing, a standard payment term of 30 days from the date of invoice receipt shall apply.

5. Shipping & Delivery

  • All delivery estimates provided are indicative and not binding.
  • We are not liable for delays caused by courier partners, natural disasters, strikes, or other unforeseen events.
  • All Delivery is EXW from our warehouse in Kerala
  • Orders are dispatched to the shipping address provided by the customer; errors in address may result in delays or additional charges.

6. Returns & Replacements

a. Online (B2C):

  • Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery only for damaged, defective, or incorrect items.
  • Return shipping costs for unsold books are to be borne by the buyer.
  • Items must be in original condition with packaging intact.
  • Return approval must be obtained before shipping the product back.

b. Wholesale (B2B):

  • Unsold stock may be returned within 60 days of delivery, provided the books are in saleable, undamaged condition.
  • Return shipping costs for unsold books are to be borne by the buyer.
  • Damaged or defaced books are not eligible for return or credit.

7. Product Usage and Intellectual Property

All books and materials published or distributed by Six Year Plan Books are protected under applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. No part of our publications may be reproduced or distributed without prior written consent.

8. Limitation of Liability

We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use our products or services. Liability is limited to the value of the product purchased.

9. Data Privacy

We collect and use customer data solely for the purposes of order processing, support, marketing information and legal compliance. We do not sell or share personal information with third parties without explicit consent.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This agreement is governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the local courts in Kerala

Processing Time:

Orders are typically processed and shipped within 2 to 7 business days after your order is placed.

Shipping Methods and Costs:

We offer a variety of shipping options to meet your needs. The exact cost and estimated delivery time will depend on the weight and destination of your order. We are currently offering free shipping on all orders. However, to see the range of expedited shipping options and their associated costs, simply add your chosen book(s) to your cart and proceed to checkout. The shipping rates will be automatically calculated based on your chosen destination.

International Shipping:

We’re happy to ship books worldwide! Please be aware that international shipping times can vary depending on the destination country and customs clearance procedures. There may also be additional import duties or taxes levied by the destination country, which are not included in our shipping costs. These fees are the responsibility of the recipient.

Refund & Return Policy

Overview

Our refund and returns policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we can’t offer you a full refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.

Additional non-returnable items:

  • Gift cards
  • Downloadable software products
  • Some health and personal care items

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted:

  • Book with obvious signs of use
  • CD, DVD, VHS tape, software, video game, cassette tape, or vinyl record that has been opened.
  • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
  • Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or missing refunds

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items

Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.

Shipping returns

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
