Six Year Plan Books has carefully handpicked stories from the Scandinavian countries as they have been the flag bearers for equality – not only in gender but in all socio-economic aspects. These stories depict the belief in the ability of everyone and have stories of characters from various backgrounds that are set in all sorts of timelines. Astrid Lindgren’s legendary Pippi Longstocking is a prime example of the same.
The company was founded in 2020 in order to make Nordic stories accessible for a wider audience in India and its many languages. We aim to reduce the distance in the literature that is created due to language. These stories will allow us to let our readers gain empathy and knowledge towards cultures and people around the world and develop a sense of belonging even if it’s from across the world.
